2020 Trending Searches in Pakistan
2020 was the most difficult year for the
whole world; everyone’s life was impacted by the coronavirus pandemic over the course of last year and the effect carried over on what Pakistanis searched on
Google in 2020.
Google has released its Year in Search Report
for 2020, indicating what were the most popular topics and queries from the
citizens of Pakistan. According to Google, the most searched topics were “dubbed in Urdu”, “kids activities at home”, “how to adopt a pet”, and resources for “mental
health”.
In addition to that, Pakistanis were also
curious about how to gird the “charity work”, how could we introduce the “reusable”
products. Not only that, Pakistanis are surprisingly interested in the topic of “gender
equality”.
Coronavirus has affected the individual’s
lives in a very fundamental way and now people start searching for “how to live
our lives significantly”. Mr. Faraz Azhar (the Google Industry Head for South
Asia and Asia Pacific regions) explained the whole search trend of 2020 with
statistical evidence. He noted that the deadly virus affected people’s
lives and changed their perception and thoughts about life. It made people
realize the importance of connecting with one another and increased the searches
for “Sadaqah” by 41%.
As indicated by the report, there was a
109% development in the searches for "prevention from disease".
Besides, searches for "gender equality" saw a 40% expansion, while
those for "psychological wellness uphold", "reusable", and
"charity work" shot up 100%, 128%, and 122%, separately. It would
seem that with additional time at home and the ensuing weariness, individuals
wished to accomplish more work, as is obvious by a 71% expansion in "how
to be beneficial". Others were keener on playing internet games yet that
accompanies body hurts, so looks for "gaming chairs" became 90%.
Moreover, some considered getting a hairy
accomplice for them to sit back and put more energy into a living being,
prompting an incredible 700% ascent in looks for how to "how to adopt a
pet". On the other hand, some were in search of earning more money resulted
in 223% increase in search for "stock investment".
Similarly, Parents had kids-related
concerns, as classes moved on the web and grown-ups, were telecommuting. This
converted into a 250% increment in search for "youngsters’ home exercises",
328% flood in those for "dubbed in Urdu", and a 140% development for
